its already Christmas eve?! 

the past few days were spent scrambling to buy gifts for loved ones. i didn't realize the year was ending soon.. 

i got a new pair of glasses that make me look really intelligent. *ahem* really.

so it's about time for new year resolutions.. i can hardly remember last years'.

Today i shall dedicate this post to Anson. 

It was pouring heavily in the afternoon at orchard where i was heading home to catch some sleep. Obviously the rain delayed me and i was pretty irritable. A fairly old lady, maybe in her 50s was asking bus drivers for directions. Then she stood in front of me where i sat at the bus stop. I stood up, thinking she needed a seat as she appeared to have a bad leg. Then she asked if I could shelter her with my umbrella across the road (jaywalk). I was not amused. I asked her to take the underpass over as it was safer. She kept saying no. Then i just sat down again. Then this young lad. Maybe about my age was trying to help her. She was even demanding that we give her some money so she could take a taxi back to Johor Bahru. Pretty scam-ish,  i thought to myself. Anyhow, he provided an alternate route, which was to bring her to the MRT for her to take to Woodlands and a bus thereafter. Anson, who i presume is working at Tangs Orchard, (the bus stop was just outside Tangs), even asked the lady to wait while he ran back and got an umbrella. As my bus drove off, he came back with an umbrella to shelter her. How kind, i thought. I'm very impressed.

Days passing... Tasks are rather repetitive and i can't draw anything inspirational.

MY CELL

Thanks to Bryner for spending his precious Sunday at my puny BBQ pit slaving away. Beads of sweat and aching muskles later, he finally got the fire roaring, for a while...

Today was just cold and wet. Met Tim for coffee and cake at Parkway. Got terribly bored by walking past the same old shops.. Rented 3 DVDs and will attempt to watch them soon.

i shall relish the rest of the windy night now... by sorting out my expenses for the month. i'm attempting to not splurge on (stuff i can't even rmb spending on). 

happy that iPhone is working again. i'm just too TOOTS to know what to do.

my two-week-old iPhone has passed out due to unknown causes yesterday at noon. 

i quite a range of photos of the class BBQ in my iPhone so this is it. BBQ on Sat was nice, chilling and eating. Eating the many overly-roasted items on the menu was umm, yummy! Marshmallows are my forte so the night ended that way.

 
Granny finally came back from Sydney with love gifts from dear uncle Gabriel. KRISPY KREMES were the BOMB for me. Macaroons a bit too sweeeet but so pretty! HAIGH'S are mom's fav so no comment from me.

The rest of the week would just be working and i'm happy that at least Friday im having dinner so it'll be mixture of work and play for the week! 

What could have been...

Today is the start of a'levels. I should be there but I'm not. I love the alternative route that I'm taking now. But just 1 year from now I'm gonna face the toughest exams of my life.

Today was just cool. Spent the evening with my family just chilling at the beach. Well, at least i was chilling. haha, didn't do much cooking today. That's me below, all ready to go!
sSaw some NSmen, and seth commented he wants to be a soldier! Guess he won't be saying that when the time comes...

the story of how God washes away what we have done like the sea washing the sand, really reminds me of how little i am. But one thing, God won't be washed away like sand on the beach.

November is coming. Spells studying for me.. i actually can't wait to get back to books, as it would be a leisurely journey till 2008. But a sense of inertia is overwhelming me. But i know, i just have to!

well, i don't have many photos to sum up the day. Being the last time of chapel of the year, we sang some songs. i.e college hymn. it was sweet, though few were present. As you can see, chintau's sweet smile, it was pretty good after all. 

i played sushi-go-round. lame but just to kill time. but ended up playing with Marissa's iPhone AGAIN. following that, went home and set off to buy my very own iPhone. which kinda ended up in a soap opera i don't wanna elaborate about. Met up with several classmates in the evening for HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3! i used to think it was for kids but yeah, i just LOVE IT!!!!! So my week sorta ended up on a high note... wondering whats in store for me next...

plans have been thought out and soon to be executed. heh... studying during hols? totally rocks my socks. just barely a month after promos i feel rusty up there already... oh dear... 

today's my brother Seths' debut on stage! he'll be taking the role of COW, in Old Mcdonald had a Farm. WHEEEE! it's starting at 10 but have to be there early with him to support him. It's gonna be well documented and i can't wait to see him do his thing! 

the rest of the day is packed. rush to work at Aunt Lilians' then head off for dinner at the Flyer. Wondering when..... when..... 

beautiful day!

ahh.. my day was made complete with EATING, of course not just the food but the COMPANY! Miss Hon and Mr Chua organized a nice class lunch for 08S26. Today just made me realize how fast this year has passed me by. Even all my worries for 2008 have almost been obsolete. Firstly, i have to thank God for bringing me through this year of repeating JC1. It was never an easy task. Especially at the beginning, i had all these negative connotations about repeating... I'm glad i have survived this year and thanks to many new friends i have made, that 2008 is almost over and im looking forward to 2009!

Despite the long day, i trudged along and fulfilled the last appointment of today. Dinner with Joalin! once in a blue moon we meet. Not even every full moon.. i had a glimpse of what J2 life is like, especially when As are in less than 2 weeks.. yesh and it's my 2009 resolution to work hard consistently!!!!!!

monday BLUS

Today, while waiting for a friend, i got some good read at Borders and settled nicely at the Starbucks at Wheelock Place.
My iced caramel macchiato, to make up for hot weather. After almost 1 hour of waiting with pigeons flying around as company, i struck a pot of gold. Like seriously, BLACK gold. From my dear friend, Pigeon.

Less than 3 mins later, my friend arrived, thinking i was oblivious to the blackish wet patch on my back.

i was UGGGHHH, EEEWWWW, YUCKKKK!!!!!!!!!

Thankfully, i had my black jacket to change into.

Went along my day, decided to cab to ah ma's. Got into the first cab, cabbie says he's ONLY heading to Katong. OKAY FINE. Second cab. Couldn't understand my heavy accent and repeatedly said "Killiney RD" when i said "Cluny RD". We headed along, with me believing that the rest of the day would be smooth-sailing... Driver insists that the turning with the nice green sign labelled CLUNY RD isn't the actual entrance. i was blur for a moment but pretty sure that WAS THE WAY! so he ended making a U-ey further down THEN to cluny rd.

Finally, the last leg to home. Bus 36. Really packed, no seats. Standing right at the end of the bus. Lady in conservative dressing staring at me frequently. Me: feeling pretty shack from carrying Yakult, Peanut Butter and Coffee from Ah Ma. Finally, approaching stop at Parkway to buy some ingredients for Mum's cooking. Lady, starts pushing me from behind. Me: quite irritated but convinced myself that's how it is for public transport. i try my best to move front but almost everyone is getting ready to drop at this stop and rmb, BUS IS PACKED. Me: standing near door, going to be my turn to alight, Lady still persists in pushing and i finally lose it by turning around to ask her to stop it. Lady says " i never what!" Me: just proceeds to alighting. Lady says " i push you cos you move as slowly as a cockroach!" Me: How rude is that?! Lady continues with glare and grunts in unknown language only known to her kind. Runs up the overhead bridge and turns to glare at me again when she reaches the top FIRST. So to prove her point.

i'm glad i didn't stoop to her level by racing to the top. how unglam. UNCOUTH lady!

terrible experience. better off watching dvds at home to pass time...

today was pretty uneventful... 

ended up idling at the caf after school for almost 2hrs...

today was a hot hot day. and spent it merrily with adele at town.

I PASSED

The music exam i took in august was a success! i remember blogging about how i didn't perform as i should have. Though this is just a pass, i know that God was in there as i called out to Him. The examiner saw i was able but couldn't. i'm indeed in awe. i false started like TWICE for the first piece and still faltered in the middle. The rest was just played with feeble fingers trembling as i hit each key. it's just amazing.

life's a bitch sometimes

i thought my first post will be abt HK but that can wait since i was such a klutz and left my pinkie camera at grandmas'.

while my friends are having great fun in school for project work, i find my life kinda unproductive and meaningless. this sense of emptiness is beginning to show. 

why do i have to even think of you? why are you even in my thoughts weeks on?
