SINGAPORE FLYER!

It's been a while since i blogged. Anyhow, these are some pics from the S'pore Flyer i rode on last saturday. Seems so long ago.
Nice scenery but i can't wait till the IR is up, which might just boast a more spectacular view. HEH!
I've just returned from a CCA camp today. Tiring but fufilling. A sense of refreshment really... not to mention encouragement to strive on and do my best for the one who made me.

DISASTER STRIKES AGAIN?

MYANMAR
This is the devastation in Myanmar right now. While i sit in my air-conditioned room typing on the laptop, i'm thinking to myself. I complain day after day about the sweltering heat in Singapore. Or the unexpected thunderstorm once in a while. Then it hits me, what about these victims of natural disasters? They can't help themselves in this state. All they can do is to wait for aid to come. And if it comes, it might just be too late. The pictures of destruction never fail to reduce me to tears. All i can do now is to pray that they might be relieved of suffering...

CHINA

After hearing so much about the China earthquake, i've realised how blessed i am to be in Singapore. After claiming more than 50,000 lives and counting, being in Singapore where only mild tremors are felt shows the safety that we so freely take for granted here.

PHILIPPINES, DAGUPAN CITY
Hearing stories everyday from the net and newspapers are heartbreaking enough. After receiving an email today from friends in Philippines, Dagupan City, made things worst. A place where i visited for a mission trip last December was hit by a Cosme Typhoon on 21 May 2008. It came as a shock to me. I've been told that the two slumps we visited were hit and it can't be any good as it was already as bare as it could be. Death toll so far is 29. Indeed a far cry from China's or Mynmmar's devastation but Dagupan has a place in my heart which makes this news so heartbreaking.
Life is fragile. For a moment it can be there, the next it's gone forever.

Go Saints!
It has been an exciting week. Attended Andrea's wedding... more photos on Facebook.
After that had car rides with my lil' bro Seth.
Not forgetting class excursion to LTA. i thought it would be boring but it was cool! Plus the CAM-WHORING made it perfect.
Today was the hockey finals for our Saints girls and boys. So proud of them. Though we didn't win, the saints put in their best. I'm proud to be a saint supporter..

Top: Friends
Bottom: FamilyReally greedy me...
i love you all!
Today i decided to blog again. Just some pictures on my birthday. more to come but i've lost some patience uploading pictures these days. uggh..

School's coming to an end for this half of the year. It seems as the year barely started and now it's already halfway through. This scares me somewhat.

Turning 18 has not been memorable enough yet. I guess expectations such as being responsible for my ownself have been formally ordained on me. I shall make the best of it and proceed to studying for highway code so someday somehow i can start to learn driving.
